When Can I Register for Courses?

You may register for courses at any time of day or night via your online student ecampus. View the academic calendar for the open and close registration dates for each 8- or 16-week session.

There are some registration limitations depending on your student status as shown below.

Established Students

You may register for courses as early as 5 months before the start date, and up to 1 week before the course starts.

Students New to the University

Please read about first course registration for Undergraduate or Graduate Students.

FSA Students

If you pay for school using Federal Student Aid (FSA), please read FSA Academic Years, Semesters, and Course Registration before registering for courses.

Army Students

If you’re an active-duty Army, Reserve, or National Guard student using military tuition assistance (TA) to pay for school, please read our ArmyIgnitED webpage for more details.

ArmyIgnitED

If you are a current student and an active-duty soldier, Army National Guard member, or Army Reservist who plans to use Tuition Assistance (TA) to pay for school, you must create a student account in ArmyIgnitED.

If you are not yet a student, you must first apply to APU.

All Army servicemembers interested in requesting TA can learn about next steps and get your questions answered by visiting our ArmyIgnitED webpage.
