Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science

The Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science is an inclusive organization dedicated to fostering the success of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans, from college students to professionals, in attaining advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership in STEM.  SACNAS aims to support the underrepresented in STEM so that they may have the support they need to attain advanced degrees, careers, and positions of leadership.

Benefits include:

Access to a network that can provide support, insight, and resources. 

Membership fee:

$10 for students (undergraduate and graduate). 


To join the SACNAS, visit the SACNAS website and join as a student. Upload a copy of your paid receipt to the Chapter Application to be added to the chapter roster.


Membership is available to university students, alumni, faculty, and staff members.

The Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science achieved ACTIVE standing per the university's Chapter Standards program. Active standing demonstrates a notable level of chapter involvement and denotes excellence in chapter leadership and member engagement.

The Office of Student and Alumni Affairs is always looking for people to get involved and be campus leaders, including chapter officers, who lead student organizations like this one. Membership is available year-round to students and alumni in good academic standing in all degree fields at the university.
