Contacting Your Course Professor

The best method for contacting your professor is to use the Messages tool found in your ecampus. There is a Messages tool for each of your courses. It houses all your sent/received messages and lets you compose, send, receive, and forward messages.

Open the Messages tool and select Compose Message to get started. In the "To:" menu, choose your course instructor's name from the list (or choose Instructor Role), then compose your message. You can also preview the message or save it as a draft to send later.

Please allow 48 hours for your professor to respond. If you don’t hear back within that time,  use the Help button and chose the option: Instructor is away or not responding and it has been over 48 hours.

Using the Messages tool ensures you will reach your course professor. Professors are not responsible for monitoring their private email address for classroom-related messages. While some professors will list their preferred contact information in their syllabus, we recommend the use of the Messages tool for ease of contact.

MyCampus Email Address

The Messages tool is for all classroom related discourse, but you are also issued a MyCampus email address. Read the MyCampus Email article for more information.
