Watch a two-minute video and discover why employers, students and alumni recognize American Public University as a respected leader in providing affordable, quality online education.
A Higher Standard in Education
At American Public University, we have earned our reputation as a leader in online higher education by always focusing on you: the student. We were nationally recognized by the prestigious Sloan Consortium for quality online education in 2009; and in 2009 and 2010 received their effective practices award.
Lasting Partnership with Students
Our partnership with you begins at day one. In addition to personal support from your professors and classmates, students leverage academic advisors, librarians, mentors, career service professionals, and tutors. We are here at every step in your journey to help you achieve your goals.
To help you utilize your knowledge outside the classroom, our career services office provides extensive support for students and graduates, including career planning, resume advice, job seeking resources, and networking opportunities with select Fortune® 500 companies and government agencies who seek our students and graduates for employment.
Academic Quality Meets Affordability and Access
We are serious about keeping tuition rates low without sacrificing quality. In fact, our tuition is far less than other top online universities. While tuition has risen nationwide, American Public University has not raised undergraduate tuition in more than 11 years. Degree-seeking undergraduates also receive a book grant that provides books and other learning materials at no cost. In addition, we offer a robust transfer credit program that results in more than 87% of students transferring in credit based on prior academic coursework or job learning.
