  • Progress through your degree path faster:
    Courses start monthly, because we know your personal commitments don’t always align with a traditional semester schedule. APU offers 8 and 16 week sessions for many classes.

  • Simple online application process. There is no fee to apply, no obligation to enroll, and completion of the application should take only 15-20 minutes.

  • Affordable tuition:
    You’ll pay only $275 per credit hour for graduate courses.  Most APU courses are 3 credit hour courses. There is no application or registration fee. Financial assistance may be available.

  • Transfer Credits Accepted:
    For master's degree programs students may transfer up to 9 semester hours, plus 3 possible hours if they have fulfilled a research course at the graduate level that meets the course requirements.
  • Center for Graduate Studies:
    This service provides guidance and support for students taking graduate level courses and degrees.
Meet APU Faculty
Professor Kimberly Jacobs

Professor Kimberly Jacobs earned a Master of Arts in Adult and Higher Education at University of Texas in San Antonio in addition to completing coursework with California State University and Colorado University.  She currently serves APUS as a full-time Associate Professor and our Program Director for the M.Ed. – Teaching programs.  She has been instrumental in the development of various APUS curricula and is a member of the Educational Personnel Preparation Advisory Committee.  She anticipates earning her PhD in Postsecondary Adult Education in 2009.
