Eta Sigma Delta

Eta Sigma Delta’s purpose is to encourage and recognize academic and professional achievements, stimulate the exchange of ideas between members, and promote the advancement of education in the field of hospitality.

Membership & Fees

Benefits include: A networking system and open exchange of information among hospitality students, and recognition for academic excellence.

Lifetime membership fee: $40 (which grants a membership certificate and pin).

Chapter Standing

Eta Sigma Delta has achieved BRONZE standing, per the university's Chapter Standards program. Bronze standing demonstrates a high level of chapter involvement and denotes excellence in chapter leadership and member engagement.


Leadership Opportunities

Campus leadership opportunities are a great way to meet other students, alumni, and faculty at the university while also developing skills in the areas of:

  • Self-management
  • Administrative and project management
  • Organizational knowledge and strategy
  • Critical thinking and reflection
  • Communication skills
  • Leadership and teamwork

The Office of Student and Alumni Affairs is always looking for people to get involved and be campus leaders, including chapter officers, who lead student organizations like this one. If you’re interested in being a campus leader and chapter officer, please email to ask if there are chapter officer openings for this organization!


Eligible students meeting the criteria below will receive an invitation during the months of April and October. If you believe you are eligible and do not receive an invitation, email We will not accept applications outside the membership drive time-frame.


  • Active student (completed at least one of our courses in the past 12 months)
  • 3.0 or above cumulative GPA for undergraduate students
  • 3.5 or above cumulative GPA for graduate students
  • Completed a minimum of 30 semester in your current associates program; 60 in your current bachelor’s program; and 18 in your current graduate program.
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level hospitality management program.
  • Has complied with university policies on academic integrity
