Topics covered include training and background requirements, obtaining contracts, selecting, training, and managing a security team, security surveys, dealing with clients, legal issues, importance of networking, information sources, and special considerations for clients in high profile industries.

After successfully completing this course, you will be able to

CO-1: Develop a proper risk analysis and threat assessment.

CO-2: Validate the ability to "work the principal."

CO-3: Prepare an advance.

CO-4: Prepare a comprehensive home and office security plan.

CO-5: Validate effective security measures while traveling.

Discussion Forums

Posts made in response to discussion questions should reflect an assimilation of the readings and respond to the assigned topic(s). Students are required to provide a substantive initial post by Thursday at 11:55 pm ET and respond to 2 or more classmates by Sunday 11:55 pm ET. Forum posts are graded on timeliness, relevance, knowledge of the weekly readings, and the quality of original ideas.

Research Paper

Each student prepares and submits research paper as discussed in detail below.

Midterm and Final Assignment

Students will answer essay questions and submit them in paper format.
