This course is a comprehensive study of problem formulation and calculating return on investment (ROI) in project management, such as applications for reverse logistics. The student will develop engineering economic analysis solutions to case study problems of returns, recalls, recycling, repackaging, waste management, as part of learning how to design a reverse logistics network or supply chain.

After successfully completing this course, you will be able to:

LO-1 Design a virtual reverse logistics network

LO-2 Engineer a virtual network to support reverse logistics in an organization

LO-3 Construct a method to calculate an economic return on investment analysis that includes both tangible and intangible benefits

LO-4 Debate and describe the basic principles regarding returns, recalls, recycling, repackaging and waste management as applied to reverse logistics

LO-5 Recommend an economic solution for returns within reverse logistics

LO-6 Develop an economic solution for recalls as applied to reverse logistics

LO-7 Develop an economic solution for repackaging as applied to reverse logistics

LO-8 Develop an economic solution for recycling as applied to reverse logistics

LO-9 Develop an economic solution for waste management as applied to reverse logistics

Forum and Participation Assignments:

Post answers to the assignment questions directly to the discussion boards as new messages and post them only in the Forums . You must also provide a substantive response to at least one other student. I expect a minimum of a 300 word answers on the topics and a minimum of 200 words of substantive response to another student’s comments. While we do not need to agree, we do need to be polite and professional. All the work posted in the Forums must be correct in terms of punctuation spelling grammar vocabulary, syntax and any in-text citations. Writing style should follow APA guidelines. Remember that all materials must be loaded directly to the discussion boards, and, associated with the correct assignment/board.

Everyone is expected finish by the end of the week, which is Sunday night therefore, “The initial submission for each Forum is due no later than Thursday night of the assignment week
