This course involves a research paper in which professionals apply the knowledge and skills to demonstrate their ability to negotiate fair and reasonable prices and to consider the legal implications for various contract situations. The research paper helps develop critical thinking, cost analysis, negotiation, and contract administration skills necessary for successful contract performance.

1. Explain the importance of properly defining requirements.

2. Explain Better Buying Power and strategies to meet mission needs.

3. Demonstrate how the Defense Contract Management Agency can help with negotiation objectives, and a Defense Contract Audit Agency audit report can be prepared to meet a negotiation objective.

4. Define strategic sourcing and its importance.

5. Explain concepts related to source selection.

6. Explain contract cost/price analysis pricing techniques and business competencies needed to develop a negotiation objective

7. Explain ethical concepts and situations that have legal implications.
