Students will evaluate and utilize relevant HIM computer and software applications. This course is intended to give the student practical experience in HIM, and during the course students will employ practical application of previously studied theory, principles, and knowledge in data retention, retrieval, storage assembly, deficiency analysis, physician communication, and release of information. Prerequisite: Students may take the practicum after all other Major Required courses are completed.
