About This Program

American Public University’s (APU) bachelor's degree in psychology provides a solid foundation in developmental, organizational, and abnormal psychology. You will examine complex topics such as personality, learning and cognition, and perception.

Focus your knowledge further with coursework options, like child development, the psychology of disaster, or the psychology of addiction. Your studies are complemented by classroom exercises based on real-world application of concepts.

In our collaborative online classroom, our faculty share their real-world experience in private practice, clinical settings, and consultative work. We’ve even had a faculty member doing sports psychology consultation with Olympic hopefuls.

NOTE: APU’s B.A. in Psychology does not provide licensure; preparation for licensure; or professional certification as a mental health practitioner, psychologist, or counselor.

American Public University is part of the American Public University System (APUS), which is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
