APUS accepts online check payments from U.S. based banks.

Have your personal checking account information available when registering. You will need your checking account number and routing number. Savings account and checking account routing numbers may be different. Please be sure to confirm that you have the correct numbers. We do not accept third party checks such as American Express, cashier’s checks, money orders, or personal checks from non U.S. based banks via this method.

When you click submit in this process, you authorize an electronic debit from this bank account in an amount equal to the approved payment amount you enter on the screen. If your payment transaction is declined due to insufficient funds or an invalid or closed account, you will be responsible for submitting payment for the outstanding charge as well as a $25 failed transaction fee.
