Enrollment Status

Summary

• Enrollment status is defined by the number of credits you register for in one semester
• Enrollment status influences the amount of Federal Student Aid (FSA) you will receive
• To be eligible for FSA, now and going forward, you must have an enrollment status of:
  
  
  • Undergraduate students need a minimum of 3 credits per semester for grants and 6 credits per semester for loans
  • Graduate students need at least 3 credits per semester
    
• Confirm that the academic start date and year you selected on your FSA Intent form allows you to maintain the required enrollment status
• Enrollment status requirements are the same regardless of if you are in a certificate program or a degree program
• Grade level is defined by cumulative course credits completed. See below for student grade levels
