Online Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Development

Whether you’re interested in childhood education, early development, child psychology or guidance, the University offers its online Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family development. Designed specifically for individuals who are dedicated to building a framework for health and educational development for children and families, this interdisciplinary program examines physical, cognitive, social, and emotional childhood development.

Through research and instruction currently used in related professions, the degree is built upon an academic foundation that focuses on the child development span—from cradle to adolescence—and helps graduates to contribute their knowledge in a variety of applicable settings. Taught by scholar-practitioners, the degree emphasizes family member interaction and communication; internal and external influences on the family that affect human growth and development of the individual within family contexts; and the knowledge and skills applicable to providing education and support to immediate and cross-generational family units.

Our University's Child and Family Development Program is a recipient of the Certified Family Life Educator Preparation Designation from the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR). We are an approved provider of all academic content required by the NCFR for the Certified Family Life Educator credential.
