Blue Ridge Community and Technical College & APU Education Partnership
Blue Ridge Community and Technical College (BRCTC) and American Public University (APU) have established a partnership in education for transfer credit, enabling BRCTC students to apply their completed coursework towards an APU online degree program.
BRCTC students who earn the Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts or the Associate of Applied Science Degree in Board of Governors on or after January 1, 2010 will be admitted to the B.A. in General Studies degree automatically, provided they meet all other general admission requirements (e.g., transcripts, applications, time lines, deadline dates) for general admission to American Public University.
|BRCTC Programs Accepted||APU Program Applicable|
BRCTC students who complete the Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Arts or the Associate of Applied Science in Board of Governors will be given the standard TCE block transfer of 60 credit hours toward the B.A. in General Studies, which will be awarded as 34 hours of General Education and 26 hours of General Electives.
If you are not eligible to take advantage of the block transfer because you did not complete one of the degrees listed above, you may still be eligible to receive credit for other coursework completed. To find out how, please complete the information request form. Or, visit our admission's site for community college transfer students and graduates.
We want you to make an informed decision about the university that's right for you. For more about our graduation rates, the median debt of students who completed the program, and other important information, visit www.apus.edu/disclosure.
