Educating Those Who Serve™

What is a "military and veteran friendly" university?

If you’re a servicemember, veteran or a military spouse ready to continue your education, you’re probably searching for “military or veteran friendly” colleges. But what exactly does that mean? At APU, it means we have more than 300 military and veterans on our faculty and staff, we have the knowledge to help you take charge of your active-duty or post-service career. It means we truly understand the military way of life, and offer:

  • A dedicated military and veteran support team ready to help you from start to finish
  • Flexible, online course schedules that let you study whether on a rotating work shift or a deployment
  • Low tuition rates to help limit your out of pocket costs if using military tuition assistance (TA), veteran's benefits, or federal financial aid
  • Military and veteran undergraduate grants to include books at no charge
  • Possible credit for military education and training courses including CCAF, JST, DANTES, and ACE-evaluated training
  • 65,000 other military and veteran students just like you

So, while other schools claim to be military or veteran friendly, we define it.
