APU Faculty Member: Jon Adams

I live in Detroit Michigan, and received my M.S. in Management of Information Systems from Lawrence Technological University. I have worked more than 30 years in information technology in the automotive industry for Ford Motor Company, Volkswagen of America, and Robert Bosch, Inc. I have held such positions as computer programmer, systems analyst, IT Manager and Director of Information Technology.

I have a passion for teaching IT. I have taught at University of Michigan, Wayne County Community College, and ITT-Tech. My academic interests include: E-Commerce Strategy, Database Development, Computer Networking, Security Policy Implementation, Online Teaching Strategies, Systems Analysis, Computer Programming, and Project Management.

In my spare time I attend professional organization meetings and conferences, love to exercise, enjoy combat pistol shooting competitions, and I love to watch my grand children play sports.

I am a Vietnam veteran having served with the 1st Infantry Division as fire direction control for our artillery battery.
