The Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship offers you a practical, hands-on understanding of what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur in today’s competitive marketplace. You’ll learn about leveraging business opportunities into viable business entities as you study idea generation, marketing, management, operations, capital funding, and the legal aspects of beginning a new venture. This bachelor’s degree program is ideal if you plan to start your own venture, take over a family-owned company, or work within a startup organization.

Concentrations are designed to help you group courses together so you can further specialize in your field and pursue a more focused path to degree completion. You will be asked to select a concentration when you enroll in this program.
Covers foodservice operations and management, as well as current industry trends and challenges. Examines the principles of designing foodservice facilities and the sanitation practices needed to prevent the outbreak of foodborne illness. Topics include cost control, culinary theory and practice, and the dining experience from a consumer's perspective.
Focuses on the small business lifecycle from the startup stage to the growth stage, and differentiates the family business from other small business business environments. Topics include: personal and virtual customer service techniques; benefits and challenges of using social media; and online marketing techniques.
Explores retail strategy, organizational fundamentals, and management. Topics include: merchandising operations; promotional efforts; intelligent market analysis; inventory management; customer relations; and retail innovation.
Examines key concepts and principles of leadership, customer service, operations, social media, and marketing for successful small business ownership.
Focuses on different aspects of sports fitness, including wellness, conditioning, and fitness culture. Topics include: current and emerging industry trends; the fitness market's impact on U.S. and global health and wellness; nutrition; and individual fitness training program creation. Designed for entreprenuers who desire to own a fitness or heath center.

Ebooks are provided at no cost if you are enrolled in undergraduate courses for credit. The undergraduate book grant is estimated to save $250 per academic semester if you are registered as a full-time student.

This program resides in the American Public University School of Business, where 18 of our 26 degree programs have earned specialized accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). This distinction does not come easy! To earn ACBSP accreditation, programs need to demonstrate quality in the areas of teaching excellence, student learning outcomes, and a continuous improvement. On top of this, our accounting degree programs have also earned the prestigious ACBSP Specialized Accounting Accreditation.
