Deborah S Sherman

Dr. Deborah Sherman is a native of Mississippi. She holds a B.A. in Education and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction. Dr. Sherman received her Doctorate Degree from the University of Mississippi. Her doctoral research and dissertation focused on early childhood education. Deborah is AAAA certified and has 25 years teaching experience on all levels from elementary to adult. She is also certified as a remedial reading instructor at all levels and a clinical instructor at the university level. Dr. Sherman is a Civitan Teacher of the Year award recipient and was nominated district Teacher of the Year. Dr. Sherman has presented lectures at the Mississippi Council of Teachers of Mathematics. She is a member of M.P.E., N.C.T.M. and The University of Mississippi Writing Project (UMWP). Deborah has written and been awarded several grants from the Foundation for Public Education (FPE).
