Eric  Jensen

Eric Jensen is an adjunct faculty member in the Sports Management Program. His teaching interests include sports history, coaching leadership and coaching methodology.

Eric holds a Sports Management Masters from Nova Southeastern. He also holds Bachelors in History from North Central College.

Eric has been the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Nebraska Wesleyan University since 2008. He has held various positions within college basketball for over ten years. He feels that as a coach his job is not only to be successful on the floor but to teach life lessons on the floor and in the classroom. Learning life lessons is a major reason why sports are important in our society.

Through his coaching courses, he wants to help students grow in their own coaching philosophy. Teaching ideas that are vital to the success of any program will help challenge students to grow with their philosophy and approach to coaching.

Eric currently lives in Gretna, Nebraska. He has been married for over eight years to his wife Cathy. Cathy and Eric have two daughters, Leslie 7, and Ella 3. Eric enjoys anything with sports. He cheers for his beloved Chicago White Sox and University of Illinois.
