Biography - Arnold Abraham


Mr. Arnold Abraham is a Distinguished Graduate of the National War College (NWC), the world’s premier institute of senior military education. In addition to his Master of Science in National Security Strategy from NWC, he holds a M.S. in International Relations from Troy State University and a B.S. in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Mr. Abraham currently serves as Deputy Chief, Information Operations Division, United States Africa Command. He previously served as a senior executive level officer of the Intelligence Community within the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Prior to joining DHS, Mr. Abraham’s work on the National Security Council staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, the Air Staff, and the Defense Intelligence Agency was instrumental to the last decade’s advances in the field of Information Operations. He was awarded the National Intelligence Medal of Achievement for his seminal contributions in the field of Indications and Warning for Cyberwar.

In addition to his position as a senior government civilian, Arnold served as a reserve intelligence officer in the United States Air Force. He was on active duty for 8 years with the Air Force in Japan, Korea, and Germany and completed combat zone deployments in Somalia and Saudi Arabia. He was recalled to active duty as a targeting officer in the wake of 9/11 and worked in the Air Force’s CHECKMATE strategic planning cell.

Mr. Abraham has lectured at the Institute of World Politics, the Joint Military Intelligence College, and the National Defense University. He has developed and implemented numerous professional training programs on intelligence techniques and information warfare concepts. He has been published in multiple professional journals, authored over a hundred classified intelligence products, and presented countless briefings on national security topics.
