Professor Cline received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University in 1979, and her Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the Joint Military Intelligence College in 1996. She is currently ending her third year of study for a doctorate degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova Southeastern University. Professor Cline's research interest deals with addressing the organizational or systemic conflict that exists within the Intelligence Community, and is focusing on the opposing forces and competing interests dealing with the economic, political, operational, and social realities of our changed environment since the events of 9/11.
Professor Cline has over 17 years Air Force officer experience and over 11 years experience serving in Intelligence. She has participated in seven overseas deployments including Iraq throughout her career all in support of intelligence operations. She has also supported training efforts in Eastern Europe for The Partnership for Peace program as well as training efforts conducted in parts of South America.
Before joining the military full-time, Professor Cline had 14 years corporate experience as a technical writer researching, writing, and producing operation and maintenance instruction manuals for a defense contractor specializing in advanced RF communications equipment including encryption transmitters and receivers. She studied Electrical Engineering Technology at the University of Cincinnati for two years between 1981 and 1983.
In addition, Professor Cline has extensive training in personnel recovery plans and operations as well as force protection, anti-terrorism, and tactical deception.
