Biography - Robert O Dawkins

Dr. Robert Dawkins is the Director of Education and Standards for A-T Solutions, an anti/counter- terrorism training and consulting corporation in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He also serves in a consultant capacity as a military review member for the American Council on Education (ACE) where he conducts academic assessments of a variety of programs in order to provide recommendations for college credit.
Robert is a retired Navy Master Chief and Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician (EOD/Bomb disposal) with 22 years of experience. He has responded to hundreds of real-world explosive ordnance incidents involving improvised explosive devices, special weapons, and various conventional munitions incidents.
Dr. Dawkins completed his doctorate of education in 2009 in Instructional Technology and Distance Education (ITDE) from Nova Southeastern University of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He also holds a Masters in Business and Public Administration and a Bachelors of Science in Energy and Environmental Quality Management from City University of Seattle.
He has been an online professor with American Military University since 2002, becoming an associate professor in 2009. As a student, he has participated in a variety of academic delivery programs ranging from the traditional campus environment as a freshmen at the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa), Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) courses provided underway in the Navy, blended delivery (combining traditional campus requirements with online courses) and synchronous and asynchronous online programs. A belief in realistic quality education for the full-time working professional brought him into APUS's faculty.
