Anne Marie Hayes is a former attorney who practiced law and taught criminal justice courses for over 6 years. She has taught online for 11 years. She finds all areas of courts, corrections and law enforcement interesting.
In her opinion, teaching criminal justice courses combines the best of all that law has to offer : learning, debating, discussing and growing. Teaching on-line has the added benefit of learning new and interesting ways to present and discuss material.
Anne Marie received her Law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and soon after began practicing in North Carolina. She is licensed to practice in both NC State Courts and US Federal Courts. Much of her early years was spent in juvenile and family court. Her primary interest is advocacy for children.
Presently, she teaches criminal justice and paralegal studies related courses and occasionally practices law. She and her husband have 3 elementary age children and reside in NC.
