
G. Wynn Berry is a Professor of Political Science and Intelligence Studies and serves in an administrative role as the Dean of Program Development at AMU/APU.
He previously served as Dean of the School of Military Studies and Public Safety, chair of two different departments and earlier as the Deputy Chair of the Department of Political Science at the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF), one of the two war colleges at the National Defense University.
After commissioning through Officer Candidate School in 1976, he served 26 years in the Army. He had three tours in Germany and commanded four units for a total of seven years, culminating with the 411th Base Support Battalion in Heidelberg. He served in various staff positions, to include G1 of the 4th Infantry Division, Adjutant of 1st Special Forces Operations Det, Delta and as a Protocol Officer for the Chief of Staff, Army in the Pentagon.
His last 6 years in uniform were in joint assignments with the Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force at ICAF and the Defense Information Systems Agency.
He holds a BA in History from the University of Oklahoma, an MPA from Ball State University, an MS from ICAF and PhD from Touro University International.
