Biography - Lori Kelley


Lori Kelley completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies and Criminal Justice from Purdue University and received her Master’s degree in Sociology at the University of New Orleans. Her thesis examined the law of self-defense and how this law is utilized when a battered woman kills her abuser during a lull in the violence. Lori Kelley completed all course work toward her Ph.D. at Purdue University, with a focus on Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Feminist Theory. She is currently ABD (All But Dissertation) in Sociology. During her Ph.D. work, Lori Kelley taught entry-level and upper-level undergraduate sociology courses for Purdue University. Lori Kelley currently resides in the Research Triangle area of North Carolina.
