William J Owen

WILLIAM J. OWEN Professor Owen received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the US Military Academy, his Master of Science in Operations Research from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Adult and Higher Education from the University of Oklahoma. In addition, he pursued post-graduate management studies at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

He is a senior management consultant and uses his extensive experience in military operations, intelligence and operations research to assist his national and international clients. His interests are in mathematics, operations management, decision analysis, quantitative methods and operations research applications for business and management.

His work experience includes research and analysis in the US Army, NATO and private business. As a former Army officer, he served in Infantry and Special Operations units where he held numerous command and staff positions in Europe, Asia and the US. After retiring from the US Army, he was a principal scientist for crisis response studies, decision support aids and knowledge management systems in NATO’s scientific and technical center.

Professor Owen resides in Winchester, Virginia and is married and has 4 children and 12 grandchildren.
