Nikita Black has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Jackson State University, Jackson, MS. She also has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
Nikita Black currently serves as a Senior Information Security Specialist for the Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security. She is the Team Lead for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security Certification Team. She supports the Diplomatic Security (DS) Risk Management Framework process by ensuring that all DS systems are certified and accredited to help DS achieve 100% compliance in accordance with the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). In addition to serving as an Adjunct Professor for APUS, she also tutors children in the subject of math ranging from grades 1-12.
