I have worked in the information systems security field for the Department of Defense, NASA, and industry partners for the past two decades. I hold multiple certifications ranging from the Information Systems Security Professionals, NSTISSI 4011 certification; National Security Agency Communications Security and Cryptographic Design; and DoD International Affairs Security Assistance Management certifications.
I received a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a specialization in Computer and Information Security from Northcentral University; an M.B.A. in International Business from Baker College; and Bachelor degrees in Criminal Justice and History from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I am also a graduate of the U.S. Marine Corps Command and General Staff Course as well as the Army Intermediate Level Education Course.
In my “day” job as a civilian, I am the Chief of Research and Technology Protection for the 4-Star Army Materiel Command where my main responsibility is ensuring that the battlefield overmatch capabilities we research, develop, and field for the Warfighters are not compromised. Before this assignment I was previously the Program Manager responsible for developing and implementing the first technology protection program for NASA, and before that an Assistant Director at the Pentagon with the Army Research and Technology Protection Center.
