Biography - Linda M Beach


Associate Professor Beach has 35 years of experience in developing, designing, implementing, and testing information technology systems. She has in-depth experience in system and software life cycle phases, including requirement analysis, functional and feasibility analysis, systems analysis, and trade-off studies. Her projects have included various life cycle models including evolutionary, incremental, prototyping, and waterfall methodologies. She has been an ISO 9000 certified auditor and a Software Engineering Institute trained Capability Maturity Model lead assessor.

Program Director Beach has implemented total quality management practices, metric programs, and process improvement efforts and has lead her organization to successful ISO 9000 certification and a SEI CMM level 3 maturity rating. She is adept in process evaluations, identifying problems, and recommending improvements. Program Director Beach teaches seminars in Requirements Analysis, Software Development and Case tools, System Engineering, Quality Assurance, Testing, Configuration Management, Project Management, Software Sizing and Estimation, Risk Assessment, and Group Dynamics Methodology.
