Mrs. Linda Algozzini retired from the Los Angeles Unified School District.
She served the Los Angeles Schools as an Instructional Advisor, Coordinator and Education Specialist.
Mrs. Algozzini was responsible for creating and delivering professional trainings and seminars for educators on
instructional design, delivery, and differentiated instruction while ensuring compliance with the Individuals
with Disabilities Education Act.

Mrs. Algozzini has been an educator for thirty-one years in Nebraska, Kansas, New Mexico, Missouri and California.
Throughout her years as an educator, program designer and developer her primary focus centered on infusing best practices
and research based strategies to close the achievement gap for deficient learners. Mrs. Algozzini mentored new
teachers entering the teaching profession while training veteran teachers and administrators on how to implement effective
instructional practices with an emphasis on data driven decision making within their schools.

Mrs. Algozzini took a hiatus in 1996 to open a business providing in-home counseling and behavior management services to
clients ages 4-50 who were emotionally disturbed, cognitively impaired, or violent. She wrote federal and state grants to
supplement Medicaid and Medicare funding sources.

Mrs. Algozzini has been the primary writer and editor of several school documents and plans. Her skills were critical in
writing the Western Association Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation plans, Single Plans for Student Achievement,
and Public School Choice Plans for the reorganization of public high schools.

Mrs. Algozzini is a focused intellectual. She is a certified Karuna Reiki Master having two lineages: Tibetan and Usui.
Two personal highlights for her were completing a “fire walk” on 1200-degree coals and bending “rebar” with a partner
using their necks!
