Biography - Timothy N Moore


Mr. Moore has been employed over 30 years with various roles and responsibilities in chemistry, environmental science and law. In his most recent position, he served as a regulatory specialist for the Knoxville Utilities Board overseeing a variety of projects in wastewater, water and environmental fields. These projects include consumer confidence reports, industrial storm water, NPDES, inter-basin transfer, biosolids, air permitting, vulnerability assessment, hazardous materials management and environmental management systems. Prior employment was in private industry for semiconductor manufacturing, primary aluminum reduction, and utilities (primarily nuclear power generation). Mr. Moore has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, a Master’s of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Management and Juris Doctorate in Law. Study in France under the Nuclear Energy Agency International School of Nuclear Law earned a post graduate certificate in International Nuclear Law with a final paper on the relationship between international nuclear law and international environmental law. Prior teaching experience includes adjunct faculty positions for Concordia University teaching environmental chemistry and Indiana Wesleyan University teaching business law and environmental conservation. Achievements include being a co-recipient of the 2007 Washington State Governor’s Award for Pollution Prevention and Sustainable Practices, and a Special Recognition Award for nuclear power plant refueling water clarity theoretical chemistry.
