Biography - Jere C Ferguson


Originally, from San Francisco, CA, Jere has lived all over the world. After completing an undergraduate social sciences degree, he served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Jere retired from the Navy with the rank of Captain (O-6). Upon leaving the service, Jere entered business and for the last thirty years has been a practitioner in several industries. His experience includes twenty years of work with the U.S., Canadian, and Mexican governments on recycling and ecological issues. This experience included the recycling of plastics and other packaging material issues. Jere has in the past worked with several government agencies to develop the packaging deposit and recycling regulations.
Jere is currently the CEO of JTE Insudtries LLC, a management development and consulting business. Prioriously he was CEO of Donvan Industries an ISO 9001-2005 registered manufacturer of tourniquets, personal care, and rehabilitation products located in Florida. Prior to this assignment, he held several senior management positions in numerous companies. Jere has served on six boards of directors -and in that, capacity has worked extensively in addressing employee and other non-shareholder stakeholder interests. He began his graduate business studies at University of Dayton and completed a Global MBA at the University of Phoenix. He is currently enrolled in the DBA program at the University of Phoenix and anticipates completing the program in late 2013. Jere's dissertation topic will utilize the quantitative research method. Specifically the study will investigate potential gender differences in the 21st century workplace between Baby Boomers and Generation X employees. The focus is to help stakeholders understand how these differences might influence motivation, retention, and recruitment of employee.
