Career
Dr. John Aden is currently the President of Black Box Mobile Marketing, a Mobile Web Services company helping small business profit from the Mobile Phone marketing revolution. He previously held the post of Assistant Professor in the History Department at Wabash College.

He lived in the Republic of Mali, West Africa duirng his Fulbright Fellowship year in the late 1990s, and is an expert on African Islam, Colonialism, Ironworking in Africa, Mande Studies, and Chinese History.

Associations and Special Highlights
Dr. Aden is a former Fulbright Dissertation Field Research Fellow, Asian Studies Development Program Fellow, CIC Doctoral Fellow, and former Managing Editor of the peer-reviewed journal Africa Today (Indiana University Press). He is a former member of the African Studies and Mande Studies Associations.
