Biography - Mark T Riccardi


Dr. Mark Riccardi is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Intelligence Studies program within the School of Security and Global Studies at the American Public University. Full time, he is employed with the US Army.

Previous military experience includes assignments to Military Intelligence, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Special Forces units. He has over 21 years of active duty and 24 years of total service in the United States Army and National Guard.

Dr. Riccardi's education includes a Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of Staten Island, a Master of Education from Colorado State University, a Master of Criminal Justice from Boston University, and a Ph.D. in Education from Colorado State University. His doctoral dissertation presented a study on how community college professors view Total Quality Management in their respective colleges.

Dr. Riccardi has been a featured speaker and trainer at several national and international events focused on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) weapons as well as defense support to civil authorities. His recent engagements were in Germany, Slovenia, Jordan, and the United Kingdom.

His research interests include leadership, continuous improvement, defense support to civil authorities, and the CBRN enterprise.
