Biography - Brenda S Rector


Professor Brenda Rector is an instructor in the Transportation and Logistics and Retail Management areas. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Electronics and a Master of Science in Hazardous Material Mgt. both from Jackson State University. She is the co-owner and co-president of an Emergency Management training business and has taught at Jackson State University and in the field. She is a licensed CPR, First Aid, and Defibrillation instructor. She is an ex-enlisted and officer of the Air Force. Her last tour was as the Deputy Director of Logistics for the state of MS. in the USAF Auxiliary. In her civilian life, she was a store manager and company trainer for a tax company. She is pursuing her Doctorate of Management through Colorado Technical University.

Professor Brenda Rector is from Brandon, MS. She is married to Professor Tommy Rector of APUS, as well. She has three children, two of which are on active duty. The third, will graduate high school in May.
