
Dr. John J. Scarpino has been a part-time instructor at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pa., for nine years, where he teaches an array of undergraduate, graduate, adult & continuing education and online courses in Information Systems, Information Technology and Information Science.
Dr. Scarpino gained a high-level of expertise in these fields from more than 15 years working in industry. He has worked at Fortune 100 firms, start-up companies and regional enterprises which cover a variety of fields, including banking and finance, eCommerce, mortgage, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, eMarketing, telecommunications, Consulting Service Organizations, and eLearning organizations. He is currently Director of Quality Assurance at a software development firm in Pittsburgh, where he spearheads the enterprise’s software testing and quality assurance activity. Dr. Scarpino earned a Doctorate of Science in Information Systems and Communications from Robert Morris University. He also has an MS in Internet Information Systems, a BSBA in Management of Information Systems and a BSBA in Finance from Robert Morris University. He earned an MBA with a concentration in Management of Information Systems from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pa.
