
Jill Fiore is from Pittsburgh and has been teaching college English for 13 years, the last four as an on-line instructor. She holds a BA in English from Duquesne University, a PA Teaching Certificate in Secondary English from Chatham College, an MA in Teaching English and a Ph.D. in English Literature and Criticism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she has also taught. Her specialty is contemporary American literature and feminist theory, and she has a passion for all literature--fiction, poetry, drama and film--and the arts. She has also taught English at Carlow College in Pittsburgh, Seton Hill College in Greensburg, PA and Mt. Aloysius College in Cresson, PA. She has published several articles about contemporary American fiction and feminist issues and is currently working on a new article that explores the practice of yoga as a counterbalance to teaching online. She is also a certified yoga instructor.
