Julie Malmberg, Instructor, is a Ph.D. Candidate in Geography at the University of Colorado-Boulder. She studies environment-society interactions specifically focusing on memories of weather and climate. She also has a Master's Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Atmospheric Sciences.
In addition to working on her doctorate, Julie started teaching undergraduate courses in 2001 and online classes in 2003. She also is currently a scientist and project manager with The GLOBE Program based at the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR). With The GLOBE Program, Julie works with students, teachers, and scientists around the world. Julie has worked as a professional researcher for the Physical Sciences Division of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as well as spending time working as an Intern Meteorologist for the National Weather Service.
Julie currently resides in beautiful Boulder, CO, with her husband, three young daughters, and two crazy dogs. She enjoys traveling, running, hiking, photography, and reading.
