Professor Mim Redcay is currently a senior manager at the U.S. Department of Defense; during her career, she had held a variety of positions, as an analyst, leader of a crisis action cell, and manager, in both Information Assurance and Signals Intelligence. Professor Redcay teaches in a variety of curricula at American Public University System, including Intelligence Studies and International Relations. Her educational background is eclectic and has taken her to three states and Moscow (1984). She graduated from Colby College in 1985 as a member of Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in the double major of German and Government; in 1988, she earned an MA from the University of Illinois/Urbana-Champaign (Slavic Languages and Literatures/Russian) and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. She has worked at various jobs, both full and part time, throughout her education, so she understands the challenges associated with working and earning a degree simultaneously.
