Dr. Kusnitz worked full-time for the U.S. Department of State for many years and in a number of countries (including Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago). He also traveled to several other nations, including Angola toward the end of that nation's civil war. While working for State, he was not always overseas, spending several tours in Washington. This provided him the opportunity to domestically interact with different government agencies, congress, the White House, think-tanks, other non-governmental organizations, companies and foreign missions.
Dr. Kusnitz received a combined BA/MA in psychology from Johns Hopkins University, an MA in international relations from the University of Chicago and a PhD from the University of Chicago. Published items include his dissertation and a Pew Case Study (done while doing research and teaching at Georgetown University for a year on a Rusk Fellowship from the Department of State). Many other written items are in classified channels.
