Dr. Johnson received his Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from California State University, Northridge, his Master of Science in Management from Troy State University, and his Doctorate in Business Administration from Jones International University.
His specialization for his degree incorporates sustainable revitalization of small towns. Quantico, VA is a unique town with access and sustainability problems which can be viewed as economic inhibitors that revitalization may overcome. Restricted access, due to the heightened security at MCB, inhibits the viability of Quantico. The revitalization of the town is a large project that can improve the business and the economic life of the town.
He currently serves as the Aviation Combat Element, ACE Specialist for the Technology Division at the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab, in Quantico, VA.
LtCol Charles Johnson retired in 2007 after almost 23 years of service in the US Marine Corps. He was a Weapons and Tactics Instructor and flew the CH46E helicopter, was a T34 flight instructor and flew the C12 while on active duty. A 3rd generation Marine, he lived at or was stationed at every Marine Corps base in the Continental United States except two over his life time.
