Kimberly F Muirhead

Dr. Kimberly Free Muirhead earned her B.A. in English at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and completed both her M.A. and Ph.D. in English at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Interested in researching and charting trends in scholarship, she has published three bibliographic studies on Hawthorne in the Nathaniel Hawthorne Review. In 2004, she published a scholarly reference work, Nathaniel Hawthorne's The Scarlet Letter: A Critical Resource Guide and Comprehensive Annotated Bibliography of Literary Criticism, 1950-2000. An "onground" English instructor since 1997 and an online instructor since 2004, Dr. Muirhead now enjoys the privilege of teaching exclusively online as an adjunct professor for several universities. When not sitting at her computer chair, she is enjoying the domestic life--raising three young children (William, Carter, and Mary) with her husband Mike in Imperial, PA.
