Biography - Jeffrey W Marsee


Jeffrey W. Marsee, DHEd, ATC

Jeffrey W. (Jeff) Marsee received his Bachelor's degree in Biology Education from Carson-Newman College in Tennessee, his Master's degree in Physical Education/Athletic Training from Western Michigan University, and his Doctor of Health Education (DHEd) from A.T. Still University in Missouri.

A certified athletic trainer (ATC), Dr. Marsee has taught and worked as an athletic trainer in public schools and the university setting for over 20 years. Additional athletic training experience has ranged from youth and recreational level sports to 2 stints at the US Olympic Training Centers and the Sports Festival in St. Louis. Jeff has traveled to Germany with the US Luge team and served on two sports ministry trips to Honduras. He just returned from a 3 week health promotion trip to Belize in January, 2012. His research interests include instructional methodology to improve public and community health, injury pathology, and applied anatomy/kinesiology. He chairs the Health Council of Indiana AHPERD, and is a member of AAHE, Indiana SOPHE, and Indiana Public Health Association.

Dr. Marsee's wife teaches 5th grade and his son is a college sophomore studying sports management/public relations and daughter is a freshman, studying computer science. He currently teaches health education and exercise science while maintaining athletic training responsibilities at Taylor University in Indiana. At APU, he teaches courses in Sports and Health Sciences and Public Health.
