Biography - Karina M Ash


Karina M. Ash received her Bachelor's degree from the University of the Pacific with a double-major in Music and German. She completed her Master's degree in German at San Francisco State University before attaining her PhD in Germanic Languages and Literature at UCLA. She is currently teaching medieval German literature at the University of Munich in Germany and continues to pursue her musical interests by singing in a local choir and playing her piano.

Dr. Ash's pedagogical training and experience has been focused on university level instruction for adults. She received her training as a German language instructor from UCLA, where she taught beginning and intermediate German classes. She enjoys introducing AMU students to the German language and exploring the cultures of the German-speaking world with them.
