Biography - Kelly H Werder

Biography for Kelly Haglund Werder, Esq.

Kelly Werder is owner and sole proprietor of No Worries Weddings & Events, a wedding and event planning company she founded in 2006. As a small business owner, Dr. Werder is intimately involved in all aspects of the business, including operations, website and blog design, sales & marketing, accounting and all areas of management. She is also in the process of launching two new related ventures, set to go live in the Fall of 2010.

Dr. Werder has served on the Board of Directors for the Naples Chapter of the National Association of Wedding Professionals since 2007. In 2010, she was sworn in as President of the Naples Chapter. She is also a member of the faculty of Axia College, currently teaching Food and Beverage Management.

Prior to starting her own business, Dr. Werder was the Manager of Online Services and Inside Sales for Thomson & Thomson, the world leader in Trademark and Copyright Research. She was responsible for managing the customer support operations for T&T’s electronic research product SAEGIS and other gateways for the TRADEMARKSCAN family of databases. She also managed the Inside Sales team.

A cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School, Dr. Werder was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in December, 1996. She was a member of the American Bar Association Intellectual Property Law Section, International Trademark Association and was on the Board of Overseers for the Supreme Judicial Court Historical Society.

Dr. Werder holds an MBA from Suffolk University’s Sawyer School of Business where she completed her degree online via their eMBA program. She also served as a teaching assistant for the eMBA foundation course MBA700.
