Biography - Joel Ramsey


Joel Ramsey is a writer and current Communication instructor with experience in editing, writing, and rhetorical research and composition. Dedicated to the subjects and studies of Communications, Research and English language with an emphasis on grammar, he has taught, researched, and crafted several lessons, articles, and research topics in the area of communication, rhetoric, journalism, and education. Joel is a freelance writer creating works under genres of fiction, politics, historical research, personal biographies, and reviews/critiques of scholarly journals, books, and articles. His current work includes a realistic fiction novel which will be submitted later this year. His writing experience includes, but is not limited to, internet blogspots, informative wikis, and daily submissions to the freelance writing website Mahalo.com. An established speaker, he has addressed several large and small group audiences across several different venues speaking on many different rhetorical, political, religious and educational topics. Recent acquisition of knowledge that he has gained through his studies include; research in Mass media, Analysis and Instruction of Rhetoric/Public Address, Instructional Design, Media Convergence, and Copyright law. Recently, he has completed his master’s thesis in the areas of Speech/Communications/Rhetoric at Northern Illinois University. His instructional capabilities have included instruction of communication and rhetoric to collegiate level students and grammar, editing, and writing skills to youth and adolescent learners. Joel is an established researcher submitting articles pertaining to field research and literary critiques conducted in Journalism, Mass Media, Media Convergence, Political, Historical, and Religious Rhetoric.
