Biography - Christopher D Stickley


Dr. Stickley received his B.S. from the Ohio State University in 1997. After completing his Master's degree in Kinesiology at Fresno State University in 1999, he served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Northern Kentucky University. In 2002, he became the Head Athletic Trainer and Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine at NKU. From 2005-2008, Dr. Stickley completed his PhD in Kinesiology at the University of Hawaii with focus areas in biomechanics and human anatomy. Currently, Dr. Stickley is an Assistant Professor at the University of Hawaii and the program director of the NATA accredited Post-Professional Graduate Athletic Training Program. As the director of the University of Hawaii biomechanics and gait laboratory, his research interests include modeling of gait related risk factors for overuse injuries of the lower extremity and orthotic interventions for traumatic lower leg injuries. Dr. Stickley's wife is an OB/GYN and an active duty member of the U.S. Army. They have 2 daughters, Juneau and Nova. He enjoys rock climbing and hiking and he lives and dies in the fall by the Ohio State Buckeyes football scores.
