Biography - Robert C Watkins

Dr. Watkins is an Associate Professor. He has been involved in a number of federally funded law enforcement technology related projects and has worked with GIS based applications extensively for the last twelve years. Dr. Watkins has devoted considerable time and energy to the development of a graduate and undergraduate certification courses in crime mapping and crime analysis. He has taught a wide range of courses in the field of criminal justice and criminology. He has published articles in the area of police effectiveness and police technological solutions in Policing: An International Journal of Police Strategies and Management, Police Practice and Research: An International Journal, Police Quarterly, and The American Journal of Criminal Justice. Furthermore, he has been teaching in the on-line environment for over eight years.
