Biography - Erin M Gallagher


Erin M. Gallagher has earned a B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley, an M.A. in English Education from Brooklyn College and an M.Phil. in Anglo-Irish Literature from Trinity College Dublin. Her M. Phil. thesis, This breathless, blurred, eternal turning toward her, Knowledge, Female Gaze and the Sublime in John Banville’s Frames Trilogy, focused on aesthetics in contemporary Irish literature.

Prior to her time at APUS, Erin worked as a paralegal for Hughes Hubbard and Reed, LLP in downtown Manhattan, and also as a secondary English teacher in Brooklyn public schools.

Erin freelances as a music journalist as well as writes about New York culture, and blogs about her discoveries studying yoga and mindfulness. She is currently a doctoral candidate at St. Johns University.
